Ichwan Noor is an Indonesian artist based in Yogyakarta, born in 1964. He is well-known for creating large-scale sculptures that combine human, animal, and technological elements. Ichwan Noor primarily uses bronze, stainless steel, aluminium, resin, and repurposed materials in his work. Recently, he has incorporated found components into his sculptures through casting and welding processes.

Ichwan Noor has previously explored the theme of transportation in his art, featuring objects and figures in motion. His sculptures demonstrate an interest in combining man-made and organic elements, often merging human or animal forms with technological attributes. However, Ichwan Noor now focuses solely on the man-made, transforming various vehicular components into new, simplified shapes that challenge their original function.
